A life!

@@ And some time to relax! I have been everywhere these past two months and loooots has happened. We'll of course, start in the beginning.

came over for two weeks, we had a lot of fun, went shopping, hiked, swam, y'know, all that fun stuff you can do when you're nowhere. Yup. She dislikes all bugs of any kind and my family disturbs her XD I don't really blame her.

Also, we brainstormed over our stories, compared and contrasted various aspects, pointed out such and the like, and just generally helped each other out, so go bug for some news on her story.

Mine is long and I'll probably start in the middle, because that's the comic portion of it, that has been in the works for years now. You'll be seeing updates on it now and then, so keep an eye out. It might be titled 'Inverse Retrospect'.

Anyhell, around the 24th of July, we both fly out to California to her house, to spend two weeks there. On the plane I sketched a bunch and read Clive Barkers ' Hellbound Heart', I suggest you read it too, it's very good, but short. Then watch all the Hellraiser movies >. Expect to see a few sketches soon, I'm rather proud of them.

And there we went to Comic-con, met lots of hellsing fans, Robert Englund, Jhonen V., and caught a glimpse of Clive Barker, and heard a rumor that Crispin Freedman was there.

OH, And for those who went, we saw Neil Gaiman in the halls of the hotel nearby, the day after his panel, didn't realise it was him because of his 'con-walk' as he calls it, and by the time we DID realise it was him, we'd have to run.

That's an inside joke to those who went to the panel.

Back to the story, we went to the beach, ate chinese, went to the college to apply for next semester so I can go to college with her >3, went to Whimsic Alley ( A Harry Potter store), and the like when you're in the middle of one of the biggest cities in the US.

On the way home, I watched Charles Dance's "Phantom of the Opera", LOVED it ( he's such a charmer) and sketched a bit more.

The most annoying thing that happened, I must say, was being placed in front of two men that talked for two hours straight about beer. Seriously, no exaggeration. Just beer.

I came home around 2 AM, got like 5 hours of sleep, got up to do laundry and pack for a camping trip THAT NIGHT. Three days in the woods, I must say it was very relaxing. Except for one thing.

The camp next door was abandoned the entire time, food and wood had burnt itself away, clothes were strewn all over the place and a weird smell was coming from the woods. So that was entirely creepy. Keep in mind where I camp isn't a park, it's a lake up in the mountains, where the ranger will come up to check and see if anyone died like, once every week or two.

Came home from that, and had three days at home. Then I went two cities
over from my house, to a friends house, to spend ten days watching her Welsh Corgi, Ein. @@ No internet, no cable, I was bored beyond any help. I drew though, A LOT. I also watched lots of movies which inspired me, like Wes Cravens New Nightmare and Hellraiser: Hellseeker.

And now here I be, HOME AT LAST.

....School starts less than a week. Dammit. ~.~; Atleast I went shopping for it already, art stuff is yummy :3
